About Carriage Trade Public Auto Auction | Car Consignment
Carriage Trade Public Auto Auction is a family owned and operated business that has been selling cars to dealers and the public for over 46 years. Carriage Trade was founded in 1969 by Dom Conicelli as a small used car lot that was contracted by banks to store repossessed vehicles. Dom had the idea to auction these vehicles to the public as well as to dealers. By offering the vehicle to both dealers and the public, the banks could maximize the amount of money they received for their vehicles. Carriage Trade’s inaugural sale was held in 1977 with a grand total of 35 vehicles.
Today Carriage Trade is owned by Dom Conicelli’s three children who recognize the value of our customers as the backbone of our success. Carriage Trade offers over 500 vehicles weekly, with the auction held every Monday starting with the inoperative vehicles at 2:30pm. We are conveniently located just outside of Philadelphia with easy access from both the Pennsylvania Turnpike and Route 476 (The Blue Route).
